ELK RIVER, MINN.—The Journeymen Chorus had been tasked with carrying on a rich barbershop tradition: the BH Open Golf Tournament.
And continue it, they did.
The Journeymen hosted the 34th installment of the annual event on Aug. 4 at the Elk River Golf Club, with the proceeds benefitting three wonderful charitable arts organizations: Arts For All Wisconsin, Giving Voice Chorus, and Harmony Foundation International.
More than a dozen foursomes hit the links for what turned out to be a gorgeous day. In addition to the round of golf, there were chipping, putting, and marshmallow-driving contests, raffles, and a fine dinner at the clubhouse afterward.
The annual golf tournament was originally the brainchild of HarmonyWorks quartet and was known as the HarmonyWorks open. After 17 years, it was handed off to The Friday Lunch Bunch That Meets On Thursday (TFLBTMOT), which ran it until this year.
The Journeymen were proud to continue this wonderful tradition of harmony, fellowship and charity and plan to put their own creative touches to the event in the coming years.
Check out The Journeymen Facebook page to see the dozens of great photos captured by Journeymen baritone Todd Mueller.
